We hadn't seen her since she has been at the orphanage. There is not an orphanage at Buduburam. There the orphans are referred to as "unaccompanied minors" and they live in a foster care system with different families, some of whom may be extended family members, within the camp.

Michelle was left with someone who didn't feed her for 3 weeks while her mom, Abertha, went to work on the streets of Accra. She was skin and bones and very nearly died. Compare this to what she looks like now and you know Point Hope and our partners are doing God's work, caring for the poor, thirsty, and starving children!
